FAQ
Some quick Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I email you the images and you print the cards for me?
No. Follow the guide and makeplayingcards.com will print the cards for you.
Are these cards good enough for tournament play? Could they pass as real?
No. The cards have a custom back and a simple 15x magnification Rosette Test will expose this card as a non-genuine. The cards created are meant for casual use. If you are looking for more realistic looking cards then you should try looking elsewhere.
Can I print anything?
No. This site recommends the use the third-party company makeplayingcards.com (MPC). MPC will not print most copyrighted material. Anything with ©, ® or ™ on the card will not normally be allowed. Card-fronts and card art will be printed without issue.
Is the print quality good?
Yes. MPC prints at 800DPI which generally much higher than most home printers can create. The cards themselves feel very close to real cards and have the same flick.
Whats the difference between 300DPI and 800DPI?
The only real difference is the text quality, the higher the DPI the better the the end product up to 800DPI. Anything above 800 DPI is dead-quality and won't effect the end product at all.
Is there a minimum order size?
Yes, there is a minimum order of 18 cards per order but no maximum.
